[…] Mickey has definitely been one of those characters. He is so wrapped up in his self-hate and denial that his heart only comes through every once in a while. There is something profoundly tragic and sad about Mickey in that regard and I can see how easily it would be to get wrapped up in trying to save someone like that.
whenever rami casually implies that he doesn’t think he’s attractive it breaks my heart because i start thinking about how casting directors have literally told him to his face that he didn’t get the lead role because of his looks, and how directors have made comments about his eyes to him, and then there are all the people online who call him ugly and point out specific features and he must have seen at least some of those comments at some point and like……i’m insecure enough without anyone actually calling me ugly; i can’t imagine how much it must hurt to have people pick apart your features so often and literally be denied jobs because of how you look. he doesn’t deserve that. no one deserves that. i want to punch everyone who’s ever made that absolutely beautiful human think he’s not attractive.
